Ok i have an old windows 98 IBM laptop and i want to intall windows xp on it but before i do, I want to delet everthing and then install windows xp and yes i DO have a windows xp home edition cd so can you tell me how to reformat or delet everything on my computer?

Well we have a desk top computer and it used to have Windows Vista, but now it had Windows XP Pro. What’s the difference? Is there anything new I can do on it?

I want to buy Magic Jack, but its not compatible with Windows ME and requires XP or higher.

Is there any way that I can upgrade to XP from a website and install it onto my laptop.

If it helps, Im using a Dell Inspiron 8100 with Windows ME and a DVD/CD burner.

Ok, so I’m trying to listen to some music through Windows Media Player in the newly installed Windows 7 OS. Yesterday it worked fine, but today it plays about 5 seconds of music then stops for about 10 seconds before playing another 5 second snippet so on & so on.
Has anyone else out there had this problem?
If so how did you fix it?

I just upgraded my desktop to Windows 7 Pro, it will find everything on my wireless network except my laptop running XP home. I have ran through the network setup on both machines & restarted each. I only see how to setup a homegroup which requires W7 on each.

The windows 98 laptop doesn’t accept the jump drive I usually use to transport documents, but it does accept Floppy Disks, which my windows XP doesn’t have. I can’t exactly email it to myself because the windows 98 doesn’t have internet access. Is there some way I could transfer the document to the laptop?

I’ve set up (for a neighbor) windows mail to send and receive mail by entering pop3 info and now it has removed all mail from the yahoo account and moved into windows mail. How can I get rid of the windows mail account and put it all back into yahoo?
