I am looking for software that is easy to pick up im looking for this product to give me some professional looks at a value cost not looking to waste more then 500 altogether but I am willing to invest a thousand bucks if needed

I’m almost finished writing my book, but i cannot find any satisfying software to help me create an appropriate book cover. I would really appreciate any help i can get. Thank you very much…in advance.

I have always been really interested in photography, but have always just had fairly standard cameras. I am planning on taking some photography classes next month, and would like to get a nice digital camera and a picture editing software. Being that I am pretty new at all this, I don’t really know where to start. Any suggestions?

I am starting a new business (opening a local thrift shop) – right now I am my own employee but in the near future as soon as revenue flows in I plan on hiring more people. This is my first time starting my own business so everything is new to me. I know that there are taxes to consider but I am not sure how to go abouts getting the payroll system in place. Is this something I can do on my own with software? Or would it be best to consult a local accountant? I’m just looking to do the most cost-effective solution. How do I calculate taxes to be withheld on paychecks? Or again, would it be wise to just leave this with an accountant? Thing is, I don’t want to pay extra money to an accountant if I could do this on my own with some helpful and reliable tools. Can someone lend me some advice please? …or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I would like to make an iphone app but I have no experience in coding or anything with code but I am good with computers. So before I can make an app what should I learn. Because when ever I look this up I get the apple videos and it is for people that already know other coding. So should i learn c+ or other coding. Because I cant find out what I should know.

I am working on a contract with a small computersoftware manufacturer to resell their software to computer repair stores. The stores will be using the software to help repair customers computers and selling the software to their customers. I believe the marketup for most retail items is 50%. Currently the software manufacturer if offering me 50% off retail. This 50% off would be fine if I was not offering the product to be resold. How much more of a discount should I be offered to have money for my company? I have normally purchased from distrbitors not munufactures so I am not aware of what percentages are common in my case. Thank You for your time and efforts. Peter

I am writing a novel called “Una” and if you look at my previous question you will know what it is about. I am on this first chapter and I am typing it on this software called NewNovelist 2 and it is really helpful! It has a dictionary and a thesaurus and it really helps you organize your novel.

Well, I am ALWAYS on the computer almost 24/7, but I just never get around to working on my novel. How do I get myself to keep working on it??

My mom has been using Easy Access Business System, basically a really old accounting program. She wants to find a new software program that will allow her to do bookeeping for many clients. Which version of quickbooks or other software program that is easy to learn, prints out posting journal, general ledger, income statement, balance sheet, and payroll? Thank you very much for your time!

We do the *exact* same thing with houses — buy up properties, and sell them when the value of the home appreciates.

We do the *exact* same thing with collectibles such as Nintendo video games for their rarity.

Why should it be illegal to purchase a concert ticket and make a profit by selling it for twice the price? As long as it’s not counterfeit, it’s shrewd business, right?
@ Justin: What middle man?
You don’t *need* a realtor to sell a house, you can do it yourself.
You don’t *need* a paid ad service to sell collectibles, you can use (free) Craigslist.

Why can’t you list tickets too?
@ William:

1) People buy textbooks from other students without paying taxes. Why is that legal?

2) Craiglist is a free middleman, and fraudulent things have been sold on it too. And there still have been counterfeit charges too. It doesn’t stop people selling goods through it.

I’m looking at some accounting jobs and they say they’d like the person to know how to use Quickbooks. I’ve taken a few accounting classes but I wonder if I should take a class for this. It sort of seems like a waste of credits to take a class for this when I could be taking more accounting classes that would count for the CPA exam. Quickbooks isn’t that hard is it? Should I just apply to these jobs?
