CNN has a new poll revealing that 68% of Americans oppose the “Ground Zero Mosque” — including 54% of Democrats, 45% of liberals, 72% of whites and 58% of non-whites.

You have to remember that the Republican Leaders do not really want to win the House or the Senate yet. They know that as sure as they do, the blame will start to land squarely on their shoulders where it belongs and that is the last thing they want. So, they will use the Tea Party methodology of alienating as many people as they can before the elections and hope to pick up a few seats while avoiding the scrutiny they really deserve of how they messed up the USA.
I recognize the RIGHT of Muslims to build that mosque, but I also totally understand the passions of people who are against it. CAN they build it… Yup. SHOULD they build it… Nope. And since large numbers of people who are against it come from both sides of the political aisle, I can assure you it has NOTHING to do with getting votes. There is no way the mosque is being built as a bridge-building effort as is being claimed. It is purposefully being done to insult Americans… nothing more and nothing less. Even moderate Muslims have started coming out and said as much. And obviously, the pro-mosque Dems recognize that fact, because increasing numbers of very Liberal Democrats are backing away from the topic as quickly as possible. Even President Obama has had to qualify his earlier support. The mosque is a hot potato they don’t want… especially so close to an election.
As James has stated , they don’t want to win, they will be satisfied with picking up a few seats.Once everything is recovering well, then they will make their move for power.
Enough to show that the GOP is divided between the Leadership of their own party and the TEA Party you know that people like Robertson, Beck, Limbaugh and Palin would divided the GOP into a Madhouse and an Anti Islamic Army I think Republicans will pay for their Ignorance and Hate within 3 months time, they are not Tolerant people.

Yes they can build it there, but they have to remember other people have the right to protest it. This is a free country. Just because you may not have a problem with it doesn’t mean the majority of rest of the US population does have a problem with it, and we can protest it.
