I would say it depends on the conditions under which you sell it. As the author of a creative work, you hold have the rights of distribution. However, if you tell buyers that they will hold the only copy, you forfeit the right to sell more copies of the same artwork.
You should be aware that a buyer may decide to sell copies of your artwork. While this is officially illegal, it may be difficult for you to do anything about it, apart from informing Ebay.
interesting question , the answer is yes and no
if you sold the artwork , you would normally still have the copy right of it , and so you would be able to use the image again , for things like a catalogue .
since i only make original artwork ( paintings ) i would not be able to post it again as i would not be able to sell the same thing twice , however lets say i would sell a photo and i would make 8 prints of it , then of course i could use the same image to sell the other 7
