How many copies of tax software do I need to file for 5 individuals?
I need tο file fοr mу 5 family members аnd аlѕο a sole proprietorship. If I bυу a copy οf Turbo Tax Home аnd Business саn I submit аll thе filings online οr dο I hаνе tο bυу a separate copy fοr each οf υѕ?
Why don’t you just use the online version? Then you can do as people as you want and don’t have that extra cost.
If you can’t find a free software online to do your tax returns and you want to buy the Turbo Tax then you should only need to buy one copy.
But you should go to the http://www.irs.gov website and click on “free e-file” it will give you a list of free software to file your returns. Most of them are based on your income, i.e. if your income is $55,000 or less then you can use the free software. But you should browse through them and see if you can file your Sch C.
try the on-line version of Turbo tax. its free to efile (Fed) for the 5 individuals. its almost exactly like the purchased program. and you don’t have to purchased and waste $40 every time to use.
You can use the same copy of Turbo Tax to efile up to 5 returns, and as many paper copies as you wish. Of course, you’ll have to pay applicable fees for each efiling.
So I suppose, if you plan on efiling all six returns, you need to purchase only two copies.
Just one. If you buy the software, you can e-file up to 5 federal returns. If you use TT online, you can file unlimited federal returns as long as each person has their own unique login id & password.
