Well, I’ve stumped the folks on the Adobe users’ forum, let’s see if we do any better here. I’m at a print shop where we often send customers’ newsletters to a pretty tricked out laser printer (Panasonic). Here’s the deal: something about the Adobe software converts all the blacks to RGB if you don’t use a Postscript driver– which means solid black text ends up with a fine screen. The problem is that the Postscript driver is not as fully-functional as the non-Postscript driver — a lot of the booklet-finishing options aren’t written into it. I’ve dug through as many settings as I can find (transparency settings, “overprint black”…) — trying to find something that will keep the text solid black, and so far no luck at all. It’s very sad; we end up having to do a lot in Publisher, and it just irks the life out of me to think Publisher can beat InDesign for a print job! Anybody got an idea on this??

Is there a way that i could go in manually and remove it? Ive got a couple of things that wont uninstall the regular way and i want to reinstall it. One being jasc paint shop. It says fatal error when i try to uninstall it and one is print master greeting cards. It doesnt do anything when i try to open it.Thankyou

I’m trying to make a poster using Print Perfect Platinum desktop publishing software. I want to save it as a PDF so I can transfer it to a ump drive and take it to the print shop to have printed. When I save it as a PDF, and then open the file , my one page poster is broken into 4 pages. How can I make it only be on one page?! Urgent please!!!!

Also, how many DPI’s should I save it as?!

K i started my own bussines and i need to make some banners and some business card does anybody know a program that can help me do that i was using print shop 21 but i upgraded my working pc to vista and now print shop 21 does not work any suggestions on other software and my my pc user lvl is medium so no pro software please.

I dont want to spend too much money but I want the business cards to look professional, Iam creative as well so I can also come with designs and pictures. The plan is to make the business cards for( a restaurant, real estate,construction company)I will have them print at a printing shop. Dont want the cheap cards that some websites has I want to make them. PLEASE HELP THANKS ALOT!

My boyfriend is looking for a cheap printer (he doesn’t print a whole lot, but when he does want to, it would come in handy. Well, I found this really good Canon Multipass 3-in-1 printer/scanner/copier at a thrift shop for $10. I don’t know if the store is holding the installation CD in the back or something because it wasn’t with the printer on the shelf. Just in case they don’t have the CD (the owner didn’t donate it with the printer or something), is there somewhere I can get the installation software so that he can set the printer up on his computer?

This printer is a Canon Multipass F30. My mom has a Canon Multipass F60 that she has the software for. Could I use the F60′s CD to install the F30?

The store also has some other nice printers. Could I get installation software offline for any of these (just in case they don’t have it. I’m assuming they do, but you never know):

Lexmark Z22
Epson Stylus C60

All I need is the drivers from the website? I never really pay attention to what I install from hardware CDs, I wasn’t sure if there was more to it than that. Thanks!
It’s not working!!!! I tried to test it out before I buy the printer. I downloaded the drivers and stuff for the MultiPass that my mom has and tried hooking it up to see if it will work. The installation froze up and the computer won’t recognize the printer, and now I can’t even uninstall the program. Urrrgh….

Why can’t I just plug it in and have it work. No software required (like mice, speakers, keyboards, etc)? That would be a million times easier….. Sigh.

For example…Picture It, Print Shop, etc. most of your basic software that you buy in a store and create signs, posters, cards, etc with this software. Can these images be used for public use since you own the software? ***We want to make some T-shirts for a group of young basketball kids, these T-shirts are not being sold, they are being distributed to the basketball teams within this organization. If anyone out there knows the REAL laws on this, or knows where to direct me to find the laws on this…please help us out! THANKS!
