Mapping Software Archives

I find it easier to record and retain information as a map, rather than in loads of text. There are some decent looking software packages and a few web-based sites but can anyone recommend one. Something which is easy to extend, and to print off. Thanks

Price does not matter.

Thanks

live.pirillo.com – Community member Proximity has a bit of a problem with his keyboard: his left CTRL key is recognized as the Home key, and everything is a giant mess. What to do?

I am interested in creating a universe with one. Something like Astrosynthesis would be nice, just one that is more known of.

I will be landscaping a home this next spring/summer and I would like to know if there is any software that would aid me in placing any trees or barriers to control drifting snow. Nothing too complicated, just something to give me an idea.

I want a program that allows me for example to press Ctrl+P and in fact the program to simulate Ctrl+WinKey+X … Basically I need some type of Hot Key manager … The problem is that I just can’t find any. I tried with AutoHotKey but I just don’t have the patience to learn a new programming language … Don’t you guys have any solution to this ? Thank you very much !

Use will be in USA and Canada.

I am looking for a mobile mapping system / GPS system for my mobile office (motorcoach). I have been thinking of possibly a GPS receiver to plug into my notebook and mapping software installed, but it seem it may be too clumsy to use while driving. Any recommendation on software and receiver?

If not that, who makes the better dash system mobile mapper with GPS? It needs to be accurate and have maps up to date, or at least upgradeable.

I heard from some european friends that they download softwares like nav4all to their cell phone. But I have an old LG phone so I am not sure this works. Any alternatives?

I am working on a mapping project for school and this new technology could save me time and energy. Thanks in advance.
