i own a Stultz and Bauer cabinet upright piano, and it has a history to it. my grandma found it in her house when she came from Greece (a looong time ago), and when i started playing, it got relocated to my house. the guy who came to tune it told us it was from the 1800′s (but he secretly wanted to buy it and resell it so idk if he told us the right information anyways), but i want to find out the exact date and as much information as i can. i read that if i find the serial number, i can determine the time it was made. it sits up against the wall, and it has a bunch of elementary school projects on it and a trophy from something, so there is no way i can move it. where would the serial number be? and do you think i would be able to find out who the last owner was through the internet and how much they most likely payed for it? thanks!!

I just brought a brand new Toshiba Qosmio from Harvey Norman, the box seemed to be sealed, but when I took out the computer the plastic protection that goes around the screen was sticky taped on!

Is there a log or report that I can check to determine if the PC has been resold to me??

Something just doesn’t seem right to me. I checked the programs and the Toshiba software was installed Dec 2009 but then there was heaps of other toshiba and office related stuff installed 2 feb 2010 – I brought it on 28 Feb.

I would like to have proof of this before I return it tomorrow.

Please help!!!

Let me define “merchandise brokering” buy illustrating one of the primary workings of The Salvation Army. The Army routinely gathers donated items from individuals, hoards of things, and gives its unspoken assurance that each item will be put into the hands of someone in need. But in fact this “giving to the needy” isn’t done with most of the items they collect. Instead, the items are sold, brokered to the public at a higher cost than a needy person might be able to afford.

Does this seem right to you? Should they be allowed to resell items for profit? Should this practice be stopped especially since the “giving” that is done usually has some form of required church attendance or God devotion attached upon the needy receiver?

I need to rent a car for four months during an internship in Florida and need some advice on the cheapest/easiest way to do it.

I’m 24 years old so a lot of rental companies have a surcharge for being under 25.

I looked into leasing and the shortest I can really find in the area is 1-2 years, but the price is right.

If I buy a car I can resell it afterwords, but I’d have to register it and pay taxes on it and of course get insurance.

I don’t know what the best option is, so I’m looking for any advice on the situation.

The internship is the Disney College Program Professional Internship, and they said people in the Professional Internship don’t get access to the transportation. If anyone knows if this is true or not, please let me know that as well.
